Biografie

Rafael Lunau †30.09.2016

Schon in frühester Kindheit erlernte ich bei meinem Vater, dem Kunstmaler Siegfried Lunau, die Komposition von Farben und Formen.

Später folgte ein Besuch an der Fachschule Dortmund. Hier war ich Schüler von Kunstmaler und Farbgestalter Egon Stratmann.

Zu meinen Werken:

Farbe ist Leben – Leben ist Freiheit!
Die informelle Malerei gibt der Farbe Freiheit und Spontaneität.
Allein die Begrenzung der Leinwand kann den latenten Freiheitsdrang der Farbe begrenzen.

Durch das Fehlen figuraler Vorgaben gibt es dem Betrachter bei der Begegnung mit den Bildern die Freiheit, seinen Weg durch das Bild selbst zu finden.

Dadurch ist er frei und kann die Kraft, die Wärme, die Energie und auch die Distanz der Farben voll empfinden. Dazu gehören die Plastizität, die Komprimierung sowie die Entspannung an der neutralen glatten Fläche.

In unserer durch Vorgaben und Normen geprägten Gegenwart ist die ohne
Begrenzung lebende Freiheit der Farbe Balsam für das Auge und die Seele. Informelle Malerei ist Fantasie – „Fantasie ist die Erinnerung an das noch nicht da gewesene“.
