Bio / Resumee / Statement:
Ayla has been drawing and painting for 30 years. In 1998, she graduated with a Master’s degree from Marmara University Social Sciences Institute– Department of Fine Arts. She has worked as an art teacher at Academy Istanbul and also at her studio giving classes to adults and children. Her master’s thesis was published by Humanist Culture and Art Magazine and she was also a critic for art exhibitions of Art Magazines and several newspapers. Ayla’s art has been seen in many official’s interior and exterior rooms and buildings. She’s conducted workshops for children and adults about the history of visual art and how to look at paintings in an artistic way. Ayla uses many different types of media in her art work, but most often depicts figurative and abstract images; they are all about life, humanity, nature, illumination and love. She’s made several personal and group exhibitions in Turkey, Europe and the United States. Some of her paintings are in private collections in Holland, England, Turkey, Germany and the US.
