Bio / Resumee / Statement:
Paul Amlehn is an interdisciplinary artist working in the fields of: literature, painting, photography, music, and film.

His writing has been published in literary journals in 20 countries, in 7 languages, including journals such as Poetry Salzburg, California Quarterly, Orbis, and Evergreen Review.

His visual art works have been published in Static (the journal of the ICA, the Science Museum, and the TATE), and have been placed in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, Zentrum fur Kunst und Medientechnologie, and documenta Archiv. His works have been exhibited at venues such as the Chelsea Art Museum, Artists Space, and Cinema Le Balzac, and at festivals such as Art Basel, the Ferrara Biennale, and the Venice Biennale.

In 2007, he collaborated with musician Robert Fripp (King Crimson) on the sound art project The Seven Words. This work was installed in sensory deprivation tanks in New York and London, and was broadcast via radio telescope, off-world, 3-4 light years into outer space. A limited edition CD of the work was also auctioned off with the proceeds going to children with AIDS.

In 2008, Amlehn collaborated with Robert Fripp (King Crimson), and Joan Jeanrenaud (Kronos Quartet), on the album: Saudade.

Since 2009, he has been working on a large-scale interdisciplinary art project, which encompasses eight albums of music, including: The Lugubrious Game, The Omega Suite, Blood of Union, World of Fused Beaches and Isolated Child, AR-TAU, and, The Wayeb Days; a feature film: L'Enigme du desir: ma mere, ma mere, ma mere; and live performances.

The Omega Suite has texts and vocals by Paul Amlehn and music by: Jamie Saft (John Zorn), Julia Kent (Antony and the Johnsons), and, Joke Lanz (Sudden Infant).

Blood of Union has texts and vocals by Paul Amlehn and music by: Leo Abrahams (Brian Eno), Ariel Lorca (Paul Amlehn), Michael Blair (Tom Waits), Jamie Saft (John Zorn), David Van Tieghem (Laurie Anderson), Ulf Ivarsson (Michael Blair), Terry Edwards (Tindersticks), Andrew Sterman (Philip Glass Ensemble), Oren Ambarchi (Sun O)))), Jem Finer (The Pogues), Hopek Quirin (Six or Seven), Julia Kent (Antony and the Johnsons), and, William Winant (John Cage).
